A Quiet Saturday Night In

Sunday is an early start as we are catching a 6.50 train.  In view of this we opt to dine in the hotel. There is a restaurant on the roof which had an attractive menu so we decided to give it a try. When we arrived thhe place was empty - no surprise as they were playing some variety of disco music at ear splitting volume. We retreated to the main restaurant where we enjoyed our first experience of Andra Pradesh cuisine. Delicious but a very large stack of whole chillies had to be fished out.

If you have never experienced an Indian wedding you cannot conceive how much noise is associated with them. Tonight must be very auspicious as there is one underneath our bedroom window and  one on the other side of the hotel. Even a performance of Mere Sapnon Ki Rane, a famous Bollywood song,  fails to mollify R. Then suddenly it stops.  We have just dropped off when D's phone rings. It is a man to tell us he has sent us a text with details about tomorrow's taxi. Great!

The main purpose of this post is to say that we are about to head up country where we may struggle for internet access so there is likely to be a short intermission.
